Cervical Cytology

The Peterborough Cytology Laboratory no longer processes LBC samples in department and all samples are currently sent to Norfolk and Norwich Cytology Department for processing and reporting. For further information, please click here [1] for their website.

 Specimen transportation

  • For transportation of cervical cytology specimens, please follow the link to the departmental transportation guidelines [2]. Please place all cervical cytology specimens into the correct colour coded bag (YELLOW) for transportation.
